Referred to as “Yong-Yung”, Bamboo salt is made by putting sea salt in a bamboo tube, covering it with red clay, and roasting it nine times at a high temperature of up to 2,400 degrees.”Master Insan”, Dr. Kim Il-hoon, who first made bamboo salt, found a method during his lifetime but was unable to complete “Yong-Yung” purple salt due to technical limitations in raising the temperature of the furnace to over 2,000 degrees. Afterward, there was a time when research on bamboo salt was almost stopped, but Master Dohae continued to complete Master Insan’s teachings.
